Consultation fees for self pay patients are as follows:

The initial consultation is £175.00

The follow up consultation is £100.00

The only procedure Miss Boorman may perform in the consultation is a Rigid Sigmoidoscopy which is an additional £150.00.

This needs no prior preparation and will only be performed if the patient has appropriate symptoms (i.e. not usually for hernia patients)

Procedure Fees

Procedures are normally carried out at the Nuffield Hospital in Exeter or in the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. Miss Boorman follows the Nuffield price list which includes payment to the consultant surgeon, anaesthetist, hospital and also one follow up with the consultant surgeon.

Miss Boorman's PA, Jilly Conibear will be happy to give an idea of the cost however until Miss Boorman has seen the patient and agreed what is necessary this will only be a guide.

If a procedure is to take place at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital a quote will be provided, obtained from the Private Patients Office for the hospital fees and this may vary according to the length of stay in hospital or tests undertaken. The surgeon and anaesthetist fees will be an additional amount but do not tend to vary from the original cost given.

Miss Boorman works with all the main insurance companies such as Bupa, AXA PPP, Aviva, Allianz, The Exeter, Health on Line, Vitality etc. and the surgeon fees are in line with the insurance company’s own online fee schedules.
